Site work for a civil project in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Relocation of an 8" thickened sludge force main (TWAS) with new pipe being DR-21 with pressure rating of 200 PSI and approximately 510 LF in length. Included is all fittings, tie-in, thrust blocking, bedding, compaction, and fill; together with in-place abandonment of existing 8" DI pipe. The TWAS pipe replacement and commissioning must be completed by October 24th, 2025. A 12" gravity sewer section is being replaced where the existing 12" clay pipe has failed. This repair is just for the failed pipe (approximately 40'). New pipe will be bedded and backfilled in preparation for restoration under an asphalt roadway (road repair under separate contract). Additionally, 50' of the same 12" gravity sewer is being relocated to allow for a CIPP sewer liner to be installed in a future contract. The replacement will require the installation of a precast manhole over the existing 12", abandoning the old sewer in place, and reinstatement of service.
