A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Reference Number 0000396885 Bid Intent Not Available Austin Bluffs Open Space Enlightenment Trail - Stairs and Singletrack Trail Construction Project: The work incorporated within this request for proposals reflects completing a hiking only trail to the summit of Pulpit Rock. The direct hiking only trail will utilize prefabricated concrete steps for enhance sustainability, lower maintenance costs and improved users experience. Pulpit Rock is a unique geologic formation with scenic and expansive vistas that make it a popular hiking destination in the heart of Colorado Springs. Additionally, the new trail segment will provide a unique trail experience with better connectivity and access allow stunning viewsheds, nature interactions and a new non-motorized trail connectivity within the park. Social trail closures will also be completed as part of this work. A contractor is solicited to build these stair sections and trail segments deploying low-impact methods for construction and using hand-built and or/machine-built techniques to complete the new stairs and trail.
