Notice is hereby given that the Mono County Department of Public Works ("County") calls for bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the replacement of sport courts, restrooms, a new paved pathway, and parking lot striping at the Bridgeport Park (referred to as "The Project"). The Project will consist of sport court renovation, an ADA-compliant pathway between the parking area and sport courts, parking lot striping, and necessary preparations for a prefabricated, unisex restroom building. Renovation of existing sport courts shall include minor grading, new flatwork, and new sport court tiles and appurtenances, such as sport netting and basketball goal systems. Contractor shall begin work as soon as materials are procured, and seasonal weather conditions permit. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed in a bid proposal or awarded a contract for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (unless one of the limited time extensions set forth in Labor Code section 1771.1 applies, in which case registration must be completed by the time of contract award). This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Each bid shall be made on the proposal forms contained in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid. In accordance with Public Contract Code section 22038, the County has the option, after receiving and tabulating bids, to reject all bids and perform the work by force account if the Board of Supervisors determines, by a four-fifths vote, that the work can be performed more economically by its own employees.
