The following work is being proposed at the Sutton Hill Booster Pump Station in North Andover, MA: Process Mechanical improvements including removing and replacing two duty pumps and four check valves, and refurbishing one high flow pump; Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and I&C improvements including power and signal wiring, conduit, and appurtenances, buried natural gas piping and a natural gas generator, control panel installation, signal and power wiring termination, disconnect and transfer switches, interior and exterior lighting, CCTV system installation, heat pump system installation, and testing. The booster pump station will be put on temporary potable water bypass for the duration of the work. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Work under this Contract includes improvements to process mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation & control system, and installation of a new CCTV video security system at the Booster Pump Station as shown in the Contract Drawings and as specified herein. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, removing and replacing the two (2) 40-HP centrifugal duty pumps and motors and rehabilitating the one (1) 75-HP centrifugal high flow pump by replacing the high flow pump motor and internal pump wear components specified in the Contract Documents. The work also includes removing and replacing two (2) 6-inch silent check valves, an 8-inch silent check valve, a 10-inch dual disk check valve, buried natural gas piping, a natural gas generator, an automatic transfer switch, and interior and exterior lighting. Additions to the pump station to be installed under this contract include a heat pump system and a CCTV system. Site work includes removal and replacement of the existing generator concrete equipment pad, excavation and backfilling for natural gas piping, and site restoration. Additional work includes selective demolition and temporary bypass pumping, as shown in the Contract Drawings. All proposed work shall be sequenced as described in the Contract Drawings.
