**As of October 28th, 2025, the project was awarded to M.E. Collins Contracting Co Inc, with an awarded amount of $589,954.46** FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(564) 192ND NORTH OF BENNINGTON RD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT & C-28(598) F ST AND 252ND BRIDGE REPLACEMENT (GRADING, PAVING AND EROSION CONTROL). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. Question Deadline 09/12/2025 at 2:00 PM CT . Questions will be answered by September 15, 2025. Requirement for Bid Bond: The surety company issuing the bid bond should be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to Douglas County, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). LETTERS OF CREDIT ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR A BID BOND AND WOULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID.
