Stormwater Management System Remediation Project Phase 1B The Project Primarily Consists of the Removal of Aquatic Vegetations and Sediment From the Stormwater Canal and Placing Onto an Area Designated by the Owner. The work will consist of, but not limited to, removal of aquatic vegetation, removal of sediment and shaping the site with the dredge material and stockpiling the aquatic vegetation for drying and restore the area as described by the owner and could include appurtenances necessary for restoration ofthe existing canal. ed by the Owner and Could Include Appurtenances Necessary for Restoration of the Existing Canal. This Deposit Shall Be Refunded in Full to Each Prime Contractor Bidder Upon Return of the Documents in Reusable Condition Within Ten (10) Days After Bid Opening. The Cost of and Return of Additional Sets of Specifications Shall Be in Accord With Act 97-225, Public Works Contracts. No Specifications Will Be Issued to Contractors Later Than Twenty-four (24) Hours Prior to the Time Indicated Above for Receiving Bids. Bid Security Shall Be Furnished in Accordance With the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders Shall Furnish Proof of Qualifications to Perform the Work as Described in the Instructions to Bidders. Time of Commencement of the Work and Contract Times for Completion Shall Be in Accordance With the Agreement. The City of Chickasaw Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Waive Technicalities, Informalities or Irregularities in the Bids Received, Solicit New Bids, or to Choose That Bid Which is Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the City of Chickasaw. The Instructions Contained in This Notice to Bidders Shall Be Considered as an Extension and Part of the Project Contract Documents. No Bids Will Be Considered Unless the Bidder, Whether Resident or Non-resident of Alabama, is Properly Licensed and Qualified to Submit a Proposal for This Construction in Accordance With All Applicable Laws of the State of Alabama. This Shall Include Evidence of Holding a Current License From the State Licensing City for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama, as Required by Chapter 8 of Title 34, of the Code of Alabama, 1975. In Addition, Non-residents of the State, if a Corporation, Shall Show Evidence of Having Qualified With the Secretary of State to Do Business in the State of Alabama. Prior to the Award of a Competitively Bid Contract to a Contractor Having One or More Employees in the State of Alabama, Alabama Law Requires That the Contractor Provide the City Proof of Enrollment in E-verify Online and to Execute a Certificate of Compliance With the Beason-hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act (Act 2011-535), as Amended by Act 2012-491. Regardless of Employment in the State of Alabama, Proof of Enrollment in E-verify Shall Be Provided. No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn for a Period of Forty-five (45) Days Subsequent to the Opening of Bids Without the Consent of the City of Chickasaw.
