Renovation of a fire / police facility in Woodstock, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Overhead Door Replacement The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District invites interested and qualiied parties to bid on the replacement of four (4) overhead doors. Bidder shall submit complete manufacturer's speciications and descriptive literature. Bidder shall conirm the dimensions of the doors or panels before beginning the project or ordering materials. Bids shall be submitted in the same sequence as the speciications for ease of evaluation, comparison, and checking compliance. Bid price shall not include any federal or state taxes. Complete replacement of two (2) 12'2" X 14' & two (2) 14' X 12' overhead doors - CHI Model #3216 microgroove. 1. Doors must be at least 2" thick with an RValue greater than 17. 2. Doors must be black in color from factory no aftermarket paint. 3. Doors must have one section with full vision insulated glass. 4. Doors must be steel front and steel back. 5. Doors must have new 3" hardware, cables, and on a 3" track. 6. Doors must have a 15" high lift track on reverse clip angle. 7. Springs must be 50,000 cycle or better. 8. Doors must have jamb seal and top seal. 9. Doors must be on a torsion spring system. 10. Weather seal must be oversized and black in color. 11. Doors must be balanced and adjusted to manufacturer's speciications. 12. Doors must be compatible with current door operators. Complete replacement of the all wood jambs for both 14' x 12' doors. Bidder must remove all wood jambs around both doors. Supply and install new wood jambs that must be treated lumber equal in size of what was removed. All wiring must be removed from operators and rerun. Installation The installer shall assure that installation of components is completed on days when the outside air temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit or greater. The overall project is permitted to span multiple days if the bidder assures that no door is left incomplete, inoperable, or in any other condition than fully functioning at the end of the installers workday without authorization from the District. Door openings that are open or that have incomplete doors may NOT be left unattended. Manufacturer It shall solely be the bidder's responsibility for parts availability and undivided SINGLE SOURCE warranty responsibility. Service The bidder shall list the address and location of the factory authorized service centers showing evidence of being able to render quick and reliable service. Bids arriving after the specified deadline, whether sent by mail, courier, or in person will not be accepted. One (1) original bid package in the prescribed format must be addressed to Battalion Chief Scott Nieman in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the number and title of the bid. The outside of the envelope must include the name, phone number, and email address of the designated contact person. This bid process and award of the contract will be made in accordance with Section 11k of the Illinois Fire Protection Act (70ILCS 705/11k). The District reserves the right to forward the questions and answers to all prospective bidders.
