Notice is hereby given that the City of Lucas, Texas is now accepting bids at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Lucas City Hall, for all labour, material, equipment, and performance of all work required for the Osage Lane Sewer Lift Station Question Deadline 09/10/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Contact: John Ho through CIVCAST at jho@huitt-zollars.com Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days from the date on which bids are opened. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national, state bank or savings and loan in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Lucas, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance bond and payment bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him. The notice of award of contract will be given by the Owner within sixty (60) days following the opening of bids. The low bidder must qualify within five working days after bid opening by submitting evidence as the City of Lucas may require to establish the financial responsibility, experience, and possession of such equipment as may be needed to prosecute the work in an expeditious, safe and satisfactory manner. Should the bidder fail to produce evidence satisfactory to the City as stipulated in the specifications on any of the foregoing points, they may be disqualified and the work awarded to the next bidder so qualifying. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond upon the form provided in the amount of 110 percent of the contract price and a Material and Labor Payment Bond upon the form provided in the amount of 110 percent of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety or other sureties acceptable to the Owner. The City of Lucas reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive any informality in bids received.
