The City of Sheboygan is soliciting bids for limited interior improvements at Mead Public Library to construct an interior office and two sound booths. Bidders are required to furnish bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total base bid amount. The awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project bid amount. Prevailing Wage Rates are not a requirement for this project. The project will include selective demolition, general construction, line and low voltage electrical work, millwork, flooring, ceiling work, drywall and painting. The work is to be done on a turn-key basis. All work to be performed will occur inside of the existing building an the library will remain open during all phases of construction. In order to be considered, Contractors must have on file a valid Bidders Proof of Responsibility a minimum of five days prior to the bid date with the City Engineering Department. Forms are included with the bid documents. The awarded Contractor will be required to furnish a certificate of insurance naming the City of Sheboygan as additionally insured prior to the start of any work related to the project. All proposals received become the property of The City of Sheboygan and must remain in effect not less than sixty (60) days beyond the proposal submission deadline. Proposals submitted may be withdrawn up and until the proposal deadline. The City of Sheboygan reserves the right to reject any proposals received, cancel this solicitation, waive any informality associated with the proposal process and award the contract deemed to be in the best interest of The City of Sheboygan
