Challenger Elementary Paved Surface Resurfacing Howell Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids must remain firm for 90 days. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS - Furnish and install butt-joints in front of all concrete structures. - Clean and blow the entire paved surface area (approx. 23,492 sq/ft). - Apply SS1H tack coat to the entire surface. - Wedge low areas with MDOT #5E1 asphalt mix. - Furnish and install 2.0"-2.5" MDOT mix design asphalt. - Roll and compact to proper density using industry-standard equipment. - Hand tamp edges to achieve a 45-degree slope for the finished perimeter. - All work must comply with relevant local, state, and MDOT standards. - Contractor is responsible for verifying all site measurements and conditions prior to bid submission. - Clean-up of work area and disposal of all construction debris is required upon project completion. Refer to the image below for a visual reference of the resurfacing area.
