The project is expected to be awarded on November 17, 2025.** The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above state project. The general items of work include traffic signal controller cabinet reinstallation, installation of top-mounted battery back-up systems, conduit, conductors, cables, and pull boxes, and all appurtenant work and other items not mentioned that are required by the plans and specifications. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled. The bid must be accompanied by certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the AGENCY for an amount no less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Any proposal not accompanied by such a guarantee will not be considered. The successful bidder shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a valid California State Contractor's License Class A at the time of bid submittal. The City of West Hollywood reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding should it deem this necessary for the public good, and also the bid of any Bidder who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the City of West Hollywood and to take all bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) days. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of the opening thereof. The award of the contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible Bidder as determined solely by the City of West Hollywood. Contractor shall remove and dispose of any existing decomposed granite from tree well, along with any foreign material or conflicting objects. b. Contractor shall compact topsoil within tree well planter area and grade to 3" below finished surface. c. Contractor shall install metal header board in landscaping area, if required. d. Contractor shall place an appropriate size ring form board around the tree trunk to allow for growth. e. Contractor shall protect the adjacent areas, as well as any utility boxes within the tree well, with tape and sheeting prior to installation to prevent spillover or staining. e. Contractor shall wash the rock clean to remove dust, and then allow rock to dry before use. f. Contractor shall mix rock and pebble bonding material in a portable concrete mixer or similar per manufacturer mixing rations. The bonding liquid will harden quickly, so Contractor shall be ready immediately to place mixture once starting mixing. g. Contractor shall place mixture into tree well and trowel to a level surface, lightly to moderately, compacting just enough to ensure adhesion. Contractor shall protect the area (no water or pedestrian traffic) while it cures. Mixture shall produce a permeable surface once bonded.
