The City of Neosho is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering firms to provide professional services for the design and implementation of two regional stormwater detention ponds (H-7 and H-8). These ponds are part of the city's flood mitigation strategy to reduce peak flow rates, improve drainage efficiency, and enhance resilience against severe weather events. The selected firm will be expected to: o Conduct site assessments and geotechnical investigations. o Prepare detailed engineering designs and construction documents. o Coordinate with city staff and regulatory agencies. o Assist with permitting, including discharge permits as outlined by state and federal law. o Provide construction oversight and inspection support. o Support property acquisition, including: - Identifying parcels required for detention pond construction. - Assisting with legal descriptions, boundary surveys, and easement documentation. - Coordinating with property owners and city legal staff. - Advising on acquisition strategies and timelines. o The City of Neosho is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of proposals from minority, women, and Section 3-owned firms. o Questions should be addressed to Richard Leavens, at 417-451-8050.
