Site work for a civil project in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
CTWPC PROJECT NO. 291105.03, 291120.06, 291140.01 & 291141.01 DESIGN PROJ: 19637.012 Project consists of the installation of a new Shawnee II Pump Station and Force Main (rehabilitate wetwell, construct new valve vault and control building , and construct new force main), a new Westedge Pump Station (wetwell, valve vault, and control building), demolition of existing Shawnee I, Shawnee II and Westedge Pump Stations, rehabilitation of existing Shawnee I and Westedge Pump Station wetwells to repurpose as manholes, construction of three 4-ft diameter manholes, installation of 160 linear feet of 4-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe by trench excavation, and installation of 1,086 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe by trench excavation. BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the City of Topeka, Kansas. The original bid security shall be in the office of Contracts and Procurement before the 2:00 closing date. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: All persons seeking to enter into a contract with the City shall submit an acceptable affirmative action program in accordance with Section 2.135.130 of the Code of the City of Topeka, Kansas. NOTIFICATION OF MINORITY AND WOMAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (MBE/WBE): Bidders shall take note of requirements for notification of MBE's and WBE's as stated in paragraph 24 of the Instruction to Bidders.
