The proposed work includes: the furnishing of all material, labor, and equipment for the construction of sidewalk improvements along Historic Route 66 from Ichord Avenue to approximately 350 feet west of Broadway Ave. This includes curb & gutter with 6 foot wide sidewalk, ADA accessible curb ramps with domes, storm boxes and 30 & 18-inch pipes, 7-inch concrete pavement drives, seeding and mulching, traffic control, modular block retaining walls, and a box culvert extension and retaining wall at a minor unnamed creek with guard railing and other related work Sidewalks along Historic Route 66 from Ichord Avenue to approximately 350 feet west of Broadway Ave. This includes curb & gutter with 6 feet wide sidewalk, ADA accessible curb ramps with truncated domes, curb inlets, and 30 & 18-inch pipes, 7-inch concrete pavement drives, seeding and mulching, traffic control, modular block retaining walls, a box culvert extension and retaining wall at a minor unnamed creek with guard railing. The contractor shall comply with all laws pertaining to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) during construction of pedestrian facilities on public rights of way for this project. An ADA Checklist is provided herein to be utilized by the contractor for verifying compliance with the ADA law. The contractor is expected to familiarize himself with the plans involving pedestrian facilities and the ADA Post Construction Checklist prior to performing the work.
