The existing combined surge and deaerator tank in the Central Utility Plant will be removed and properly disposed of. A new two-tank system--comprising a stainless steel surge tank and a deaerator system--will be installed, including schedule 80 piping, forged fittings, valves, tie-in points, controls, wiring, and labor. The surge tank must be capable of bypassing the deaerator tank to supply feed water to boilers during inspections or failures, and vice versa, ensuring redundancy in the feed water system. Contractor must attend a pre-work meeting with on-site staff prior to beginning work.
