This project includes drainage improvements along Greenwood Trail, Sylvan Trail and Rockwood Trail. New drainage structures and pipe will be installed to help redirect surface water to alleviate the existing drainage issues in this area of Fayson Lakes. The intent is also to connect roof leaders and sumps from the individual properties to the proposed drainage system to reduce surface runoff. The project limits include Greenwood Trail from Ledgewood Trail to Sylvan Trail, Sylvan Trail from Greenwood Trail to Midland Trail, Rockwood Trail from Ledgewood Trail to Sylvan Trail and Sylvan Trail from Rockwood Trail to Lagoon Trail. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: installation of 515-linear feet of 24-inch diameter high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe; installation of 275 linear feet of 15-inch diameter HDPE pipe; 255-linear feet of 15-inch diameter HDPE pipe; removal of eight (8) storm inlets; the installation of five (5) type 'A' inlets, four (4) type 'D' inlets and eleven (11) type 'E' inlets; the installation of thirteen (13) storm laterals and check valves; rock excavation as directed; and 425 tons of 6-inch stabilized base pavement trench repair. bid may be withdrawn prior to the time for opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after bids have been opened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Guarantee in an amount of the lesser of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price or Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Borough or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and found acceptable by the Borough. Each bid must also be accompanied by the consent of a similarly acceptable Surety, guaranteeing a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Material Payment Bond will be furnished upon award of the Contract. The Borough of Kinnelon is not responsible for any bid mailed or hand delivered which is lost in transit or delivered late. A bid may be withdrawn prior to the time for opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in the bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, deviations or omissions in any or all bids, and to accept such bids and make awards as may be most advantageous to the Borough. Every request for interpretation shall be in writing and addressed to the Borough Engineer: Darmofalski Engineering Associates, Inc., 86 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ 07457. Every request for interpretation to be given consideration must be received no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the scheduled bid opening date, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.
