Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Darby Township, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

A. Work Included: This project consists of Phase 2 (i.e. landscaping) of the overall improvements project of the streambank located at Conway Park in Darby Township Delaware County, PA. Please note that this phase only includes the landscaping of the streambank as Phase I consisted of the grading and restoration of the streambank. Work to include the planting of various trees, shrubs, landscape plugs, and riparian seed mix as listed in Section 00300, Form of Proposal. All work herein specified and on project drawings shall include, but is not limited to all labor, materials, equipment, access roads, landscaping, traffic controls, erosion control measures, signage, and any incidental items thereto as specified in the contract documents and as shown on the drawings. B. All areas disturbed during construction shall be restored to its original condition or better. The Contractor shall be responsible to replace any curb, sidewalk, signage, etc. per the project plans and contract documents. No additional monies will be given to the Contractor to restore the site. All pavement restoration areas shall be neat, straight, joint lines, if applicable. Narrow asphalt strips (less than 2 feet wide) between curb and trench will not be acceptable. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Darby Township, must accompany each bid. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, Public Works Employment Verification, various equal opportunity provisions, the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The Township of Darby reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
