The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is pleased to share our Request for Proposal (RFP) for Solar PV System Services. The project involves design and build services for the installation of solar arrays across 50 tribal-owned buildings in Watersmeet, Michigan, with the potential to expand to 70 buildings in Phase 1. These buildings include 48 single family homes and 2 commercial buildings in Phase 1. While the full scope of the grant covers work to be done over a five-year period, including full electrification and energy efficiency, the solar installations have been prioritized and expedited to be completed as soon as possible, but no later than December 31st, 2027. Responses to questions will be shared with all bidders. Final Scheduled Addenda issuance (if any) is planned for September 19, 2025. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the gross bid payable to the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, as liquidated damages for breach of contract if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into the contract as per his bid. Performance/Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract are required. No Bidder shall modify, withdraw, or cancel their Bid or any part thereof for thirty (30) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids and to waive any defects, irregularities or information in any proposal or bid, and to award the contracts to other than the lowest bidder, if in their discretion the interests of the project will be best served thereby.
