Demolition, site work and addition to a transportation facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid in a manner required by the Instructions to Bidders. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of Bids for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, to reject all Bids, or to re-advertise for Bids Miami-Dade County, as represented by Miami-Dade Aviation Department ("MDAD") requires the services for the construction and commissioning of a new jet fuel storage tank and associated fueling infrastructure at the Miami International Airport (MIA) Fuel Storage Facility. This project involves the expansion of the existing fuel storage system through the installation of a new above-ground jet fuel storage tank in accordance with API 650 standards, along with associated jet fuel piping and infrastructure. The scope includes the construction of a jet fuel pumping and filtration system, complete with emergency fuel shutoff systems and integration of fuel instrumentation and controls. Additionally, the project will involve modifications and conversions of existing Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) systems, including foam concentrate storage tanks, proportioners, piping, and related equipment. New facilities to be constructed include an inbound filtration building, a fire foam building, a foam proportioner, and an electrical room, along with all necessary piping. The project will also incorporate a stormwater lift station equipped with a water quality treatment system and a 10,000-gallon oil-water separator. To ensure proper emergency access, fire access lanes will be constructed throughout the expanded areas Any work related to the construction and commissioning of a new jet fuel storage tank, associated fueling infrastructure, jet fuel piping, pollutant storage systems, and modifications to AFFF systems shall be performed by contractors properly licensed under Section 489.115, Florida Statutes. The awarded Contractor shall perform such work only through subcontractor(s) or professional(s) holding the required Mechanical Contractor and Pollutant Storage System Contractor licenses issued by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, or, if self-performing any A. A Bidder must hold at the time its bid is submitted, unless this Contract is exempt under Florida Statutes Section 489.103 and Miami-Dade County Code, Chapter 10, Section 10-22 (a) (2) a current valid certificate(s), as listed below, qualifying the Bidder to perform the work contemplated by these Contract Documents. Failure to hold the appropriate certificate(s) at the time this Bid is submitted shall render the Bid non-responsive QA date - 4-10-2026 All questions shall be in writing and shall be directed to the Procurement Contracting Officer, Samuel Marti (email: SMarti@flymia.com) and must be received at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the opening of Bids in order to be given consideration.
