Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Waukegan, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project entails the enhancement of downtown sidewalks along Genesee Street between Grand Avenue and Washington Street, and Clayton Street between Genesee Street and County Street. The scope includes the removal of overgrown trees to improve visibility, safety, and overall pedestrian experience. Sidewalk surfaces will be upgraded through the repair or replacement of deteriorated bricks and concrete, with subbase improvements to ensure proper stabilization and long-term durability. Routine maintenance protocols will be established to preserve these upgrades. Additionally, existing parking meter poles impacted by construction will be replaced, with coordination from the City to facilitate the removal and reinstallation of parking meters onto the new poles. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make an award on those bids which, in its opinion, are most advantageous to the City of Waukegan.
