City of Anniston Will Receive Competitive Sealed Bids for Annual Grass and Vegetation Maintenance of the Chief Ladiga Trail (City of Anniston Section Only). Contract Period: Establish a 12-month Contract With an Option to Extend for a Second and Third 12-month Period With the Same Pricing, Terms and Conditions. The Second and Third 12-month, if Agreed by Both Parties, Would Begin the Day After the First or Second 12-month Period Expires. Scope of Work: The Awarded Bidder is to Cut and Weed Eat All Grass Inside the Right-of-way of the Chief Ladiga Trail (Approximately 6.75 Miles) Once Every Other Week, and Spray Epa and State Approved Herbicides on the Gravel/aggregate Lined Portions of the Trail and in Areas of Aggressive Vegetation, Such as Kudzu, Once Monthly. The Awarded Bidder is Clear the Trail of Natural Debris Such as: Leaves, Rocks, Dirt, Grass Clippings, and Tree Limbs Every Other Week While Performing Grass Cutting Services. Debris Removal Excludes Any Fallen Trees, Litter, or Household Garbage. Prior to the Awarded Bidder Beginning Work, the City of Anniston Will Contract With a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to Perform a One-time Service to Physically Stake the Right-of-way Limits of the Trail in Areas Where They Are Not Easily Identifiable by Ditches, Wood Lines, or Topography. Any Bid That is Equal to or Exceeds $100,000.00, the BidderMust Have an Active Alabama General Contractors License. Any Bid Received After the Date and Time Specified for Receipt of Bids Will Be Returned Unopened. Bids or Alterations of Bids by Wire, E-mail, Facsimile Transmission or Telephone Will Not Be Accepted. Bid Openings Are Open to the Public. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Defect or Informality in Any Bid or the Bidding Process. Except as Otherwise Provided or Allowed by Law, if the City Accepts a Bid in Response to This Invitation to Bid, It Will Accept the Bid of and Award the Contract to the Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bidder.
