This project involves trench widening of the existing asphalt pavement using asphalt concrete plant mix, the installation of rumble strips, pavement markings and installation of new guardrail on Route 340 in Augusta County. 232 The work to be done under this project will provide safety improvements to Route 340, by widening the pavement, adding rumble strips and pavement markings, and installation of new guardrail at various locations from Edelweiss Lane to Indian Ridge Road for both North and South bound lanes within Augusta County in the Staunton District. This is a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP), and all work is within the existing right of way.
