The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission is currently soliciting bids for the Shangri-La & South Essex Drive Waterline Replacement Phase 2, Project 8202WL. The Work will entail installation of 8" water main and abandonment of the existing 8" water main along South Essex Drive from Great Mills Road to Shangri-La Drive and along Shangri-La Drive from South Essex Drive to FDR Boulevard intersection, including replacement of all fire hydrants and transfer of all water services from the existing water main to the new main primarily located in the area of LEXINGTON PARK, MARYLAND. The Contractor shall accomplish all Work, including such additional, extra and incidental Work that may be considered necessary by the Owner to complete the Project, as defined herein, in a satisfactory and acceptable manner, and shall furnish all plant equipment, tools, materials, labor and incidentals necessary to carry on the Project to satisfactory completion within the time period specified and in strict accordance with the Drawings, Specifications/Contract Documents and Addenda, referenced herein and incorporated by reference, (the "Contract Documents") and the latest revision of the St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission Design Manual, Technical Specifications, and Standards for Construction Details. The Contractor will be required to commence the Work and to substantially complete the overall Project within 182 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed at which point in time the Work shall be completed and Project will be in a finished condition, as specified, and all temporary buildings, equipment, tools, and surplus and waste materials will have been removed from the job site.
