Aquarium Care and Maintenance at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center This contract includes service, maintenance and care of the aquarium, medical holding tank, and all animals within the exhibit system. The Forest Preserve District of Will County's reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts or combinations thereof, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to reject any or all bids. Work shall begin in January 2026 after receipt of the written Notice to Proceed. Work shall conclude in December 2026 and be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents, as provided in the General Conditions, Article IV, Section 4.4. The contract may be extended by written notification and mutual agreement by 1 year for a maximum of 2 years at the conclusion of a service year. The Forest Preserve is committed to supporting "Small Businesses", "Minority Business Enterprises", "Female Business Enterprises", and "Persons with Disabilities Enterprises," as those terms are defined under Illinois law. The Forest Preserve has set a goal to secure up to 16% of the contracted amount for contracted services and improvement projects to such disadvantaged businesses. Such businesses are strongly encouraged to bid on Forest Preserve contracts.
