The Town of Southwick invites sealed Bids for the North Lake Avenue Phase I Improvement Project. The project will provide a series of upgrades to the existing water infrastructure in North Lake Avenue in Southwick to provide to provide improved water quality, flow, and pressure, and ensure adequate fire protection to all households on North Lake Avenue. This project is being administered by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) and funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, FY24 Southwick Community Development Block Grant Programs. Briefly summarized, the project includes installation of approximately 730 feet of 8-inch PVC C900 water main, approximately 360 feet of 1-inch copper pipe residential water service line, curb shut-off valves, two replacement fire hydrants with associated valves and piping, temporary hot mix asphalt (HMA) roadway surface, and other associated work for the length of North Lake Avenue starting from the intersection with Summer Drive and extending south and then westward. This project is being administered by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) and funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, FY24 Southwick Community Development Block Grant Programs. Also included is all work associated with the repair of areas impacted by the work under this Contract, and traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, control measures.
