Site work for a municipal facility in Gustavus, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
Install a new 600 foot perimeter fence and a gate. Details are described in the General Specifications and Scope of Work sections, and the attached materials list. The Period of Performance for this work is from the date of award to October 31, 2025 unless otherwise agreed to with the City Project Manager. Throughout the period, the contractor is responsible for keeping and submitting monthly work logs and billing records to the City Treasurer. The new balefill area at the DRC will be enclosed by an approximately 600 foot perimeter fence that will connect to the existing balefill area. The fence fabric is 8 feet high chain link with top rails. Post spacing is 10 feet, with the 11 foot long posts driven 3 feet deep in undisturbed soil. Seven 11.5 foot long corner posts will be set 3.5 feet deep in a hole with a minimum of 12 inches in diameter filled with concrete. One prefabricated 12 foot wide double swing gate with posts and a center stop will be installed. Refer to the attached itemized material list from City Wide Fence Company for the details of the fence material to be installed. The fencing material is at the DRC and can be inspected with the DRC Manager. Clear and level the ground where the fence will be installed and grade it so the fence will be set on a flat surface. Install the fence and gate posts, top rails, fence fabric and tension wire. The DRC Manager will mark the fence and gate location
