Site work for a road / highway in Sanford, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.
As of October 21, 2025, this project is still in the conceptual phase. No design firm has been selected and a timeline for construction has not been established. This RFQ has been re-advertised. Information regarding a selected design firm has not been made available yet. This project involves full-depth reclamation (FDR) of selected sections and asphalt resurfacing of several large sections of the tactical driving track at Central Carolina Community College Emergency Services Training Center. Approximately 29,600 square yards of runway track would be milled and repaved with three inches of asphalt. Approximately 2,200 square yards of track will require milling, full-depth reclamation, and three inches of asphalt paving. Work includes full-depth Patching, Milling, Paving, and subsequent marking of the runway area per FAA guidelines. Full engineering services are required and will include all submittal requirements for the State Construction Office for all phases, cost estimates updated at each phase with each SCO submittal, bidding services, construction administration services, record drawings in both AutoCAD (latest version) and Revit, and project closeout as defined by the State Construction Manual dated March of 2019. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
