The City of Jasper, Georgia (Owner) is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (Bids) for the construction of the following project: Jasper Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation The project consists of improvements to the Jasper Water Treatment Plant, including improvements to the existing sedimentation and filtration systems. Work includes the installation of air scour piping, electrical and control upgrades, new filter underdrains and media, and structural modifications to support new equipment, replacement of instrumentation, site improvements, erosion/sediment control measures, and all labor and materials necessary to install the authorized work as indicated in the contract documents. This project is funded in part by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA). All projects funded by GEFA are subject to all GEFA requirements, including Davis Bacon wage rules. GEFA requirements can be found in Section 008000 - Supplementary Conditions of the project specifications. Bidders should make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia State Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14. Failure to provide the bidder's Georgia Utility Contractor's License Number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4.
