Remodeling of a water / sewer project in Telluride, Colorado. Completed plans call for the remodel of a water / sewer project.

Reference Number 0000397617 additional bid date note: The Town will accept proposals via email but will not accept proposals via fax. If a hardcopy is submitted, please provide two (2) copies sealed in a manila envelope clearly marked as a proposal for this project and to the attention of Amie Martell, Water/Wastewater Division Manager. Summary of Work 1.1. This initiative encompasses a renovation and enhancement of the current laboratory facilities, in addition to the reroofing of the building at the Telluride Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The laboratory currently serves as a critical quality control and compliance testing center for the facility. The remodel aims to enhance functionality, safety, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance with updated instrumentation and workspace layout. This renovation will be constructed in three phases to ensure operational functions for the Telluride Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant throughout the remodel. 1.2. This bid proposal includes project plans and construction specifications. 1.3. Copies of the Town's Construction Specifications can be downloaded from the Town's website at www.telluride-co.gov. 1.4. Objectives 1.5. Modernize laboratory infrastructure and furnishings 1.6. Improve ergonomics and storage capacity 1.7. Enhance HVAC and ventilation specific to laboratory environments 1.8. Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and CDPHE standards 1.9. Installation of a new EPDM membrane roofing system. 1.10. Integrate updated analytical instrumentation and connectivity 1.11. 1.12. Scope of Work 1.13. Demolition and Preparation 1.14. Remove and dispose of outdated cabinetry, walls, drywall, countertops, sinks, flooring, and work associated with the planned reroof. 1.15. Safely disconnect and cap utilities (gas, water, electrical) as necessary 1.16. Abatement procedures as required (e.g., asbestos or lead-based paint, if encountered) 1.17. Construction and Upgrades 1.18. Install new flooring appropriate for chemical resistance and hygiene 1.19. Construct new wall partitions, where necessary, for workspace optimization 1.20. Paint walls with moisture- and chemical-resistant coatings 1.21. Laboratory Infrastructure 1.22. Install new laboratory-grade casework, countertops and sinks 1.23. Casework will be manufactured by Macalaster Bicknell, LLC, doing business as MacBick Labs and Interiors (hereinafter referred to as 'MacBick' throughout this RFP). 1.24. Time is of the essence; therefore, the municipality approved the submission of casework and acquired the casework to reduce the lead time from the planned contract award date. 1.25. The Town of Telluride will assign/transfer Casework schedule and management over to the project's prime contractor once awarded. 1.26. The casework management bid schedule item will be incorporated with the bid tabs for this project. 1.27. Lead-times 12 weeks, after receipt of PO and approved drawings are received. 1.28. Lead-time noted above once shop drawings are approved, all measurements are verified, and all questions have been answered. At that point the order will be placed into production and with our vendors, and the lead-time begins. Please be aware that the longest lead-time governs ship date of the entire order. During peak holiday and summer season lead-time tends to increase 2-4 weeks. 1.29. Proposal and approved shop drawings are included with this bid package. 1.30. Provide and Install eye wash and emergency safety shower stations 1.31. Upgrade HVAC systems, including fume hoods and air filtration 1.32. Provide dedicated emergency power circuits to all identified critical equipment 1.33. Integrate new laboratory lighting systems suitable for lab environments 1.34. Removal of the existing roof system, with an installation of a new EPDM membrane roofing system 1.35. 1.36. Instrumentation and Utilities 1.37. Provision and installation of lab equipment 1.38. Modify, extend, or replace all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems associated with the remodel as required to support new equipment and the revised laboratory layout. 1.39. Install additional data ports and integrate with SCADA/IT systems 1.40. Compliance and Testing 1.41. Ensure all work complies with current Local, State & Federal building, fire, and environmental regulations and codes 1.42. Conduct final inspections and functionality testing of systems 1.43. Provide training on new systems where applicable 1.44. Maintain an on-site record of state, local & manufacturer inspections The renovation and enhancement of the current laboratory facilities, along with the reroofing at the Telluride Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The laboratory currently serves as a critical quality control and compliance testing center for the facility. The remodel aims to enhance functionality, safety, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance with updated instrumentation and workspace layout. The replacement of the building existing flat roof weather protectant membrane is primarily over the office space, laboratory and headworks and is being replaced due to resent leaks within the building. Proposals received after the due date and time specified above or that are not prepared and filed in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposal will not be considered for evaluation or award of the Project. The Town of Telluride reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, in part or in whole, or to waive any informalities or technicalities in this Request for Proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
