The Project includes the following Work: For the proposed TRWWTP Dewatering Redundancy Project (Project), there is no change to the design criteria or plant capacity; one dewatering press will be in operation during dewatering activities with the redundant system installed as a backup for emergencies or during times of routine and preventative maintenance. The Project will provide one redundant dewatering press for the TRWWTP and will involve no change in solids handling capacity. The Project includes modifications to the following processareas to replace aging assets that are beyond their useful life expectancy: Solids Handling: Thickening/Dewatering Improvements: Installation of a redundant dewatering press with associated polymer system and dewatered cake conveyance system that discharges to the existing shaftless screw conveyor for loading solids into a hauling trailer. The redundant dewatering press system will provide a backup dewatering system for the existing unit during maintenance activities. Plant Effluent Water Pumping System: Plant Effluent/Impure Water Pumps: Removal of the aging impure/plant effluent water pumps and hydropneumatic tank to make room for the redundant dewatering press in the Dewatering Room. A new plant effluent water pump skid and smaller surge tank will be installed to supply water for the final clarifier scum spray wash system and various plant effluent water hose bibs throughout the facility.
