For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Project includes the following Work: The project involves the installation of new waterlines, associated appurtenances, and a new water storage tank. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 6,110 linear feet of 12-inch PVC waterline beginning at the existing Cook Street Tank. The alignment continues along Cook Street to Broadway Street, proceeds from Henson Street, and terminates at Morgan Street. This portion of the waterline will be installed within the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) right-of-way, specifically located between the shoulder and the edge of the ROW. The installation also includes approximately 80 linear feet of fusible PVC, which will be placed using horizontal directional drilling beneath existing storm drain infrastructure. Additionally, the project includes the installation of approximately 4,379 linear feet of 10-inch PVC waterline beginning at Pershing Street, proceeding south on Ash Street, then along 8th Avenue, and continuing to Silver Street. This section will be installed using open trench methods within the roadway and will require a 6-foot wide asphalt pavement cut. A utility crossing at Date Street, located within the NMDOT right-of-way, will be completed using the jack-and-bore method, including the installation of an 18-inch steel casing. The work also involves the installation of approximately 1,036 linear feet of 6-inch PVC waterline along McAdoo Street, beginning east of the Main Street intersection, continuing south along Daniels Street, and ending just north of the Broadway Street intersection. This waterline will be installed by open trenching within the roadway, requiring a 6-foot wide trench and asphalt cut. Approximately 2,157 linear feet of 8-inch PVC waterline will be installed along 2nd Avenue using open trench methods. This section will also be placed within the roadway, with a trench width and asphalt cut of approximately 4 feet. An additional 40 linear feet of fusible PVC will be installed by horizontal directional drilling beneath existing storm drain infrastructure. In addition to the waterline work, the project includes the construction of a new 300,000-gallon welded steel water storage tank at the existing Cook Street tank site. Site preparation for the tank will include clearing and grubbing, excavation, grading, placement of engineered fill, and subgrade preparation including compaction and testing. A 6-inch gravel pad will be constructed along with the necessary tank foundation. The tank installation includes all associated piping, valves, and appurtenances required for integration with the existing system. Electrical work will consist of conduit installation, wiring, lighting, instrumentation, and all other components necessary for tank operation. A complete cathodic protection system will also be provided and installed as part of the tank construction.
