Site work for a water / sewer project in Cannelton, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, supplies, materials, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace corroded metal piping in the utility crossover(s) for the raw water line, potable (city) water line, and sanitary sewer line. Prices should include mobilization and demobilization, fuel, labor, material, and equipment. The contractor's work and responsibility shall include all planning, programming, administration, management, supervision, communications, and inspection necessary to assure that all work is conducted in accordance with the contract requirements and all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Please be sure to review all 9 documents attached to this solicitation. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST IS BETWEEN $100,000 AND $250,000. The project site is located at Cannelton Locks and Dam located approximately 2.6 miles southeast of Cannelton, Indiana in Perry County at 5821 IN-66, Cannelton, Indiana, 47520. 2. STATEMENT OF WORK: The contractor shall remove and replace entire sections of the specified utility piping in the both the Auxiliary and Main lock chamber crossovers. Generally, this consists of replacing the existing identified galvanized piping from the tie in point in land wall gallery extending down through the utility cross-over beneath the Auxiliary chamber and up to the middle wall gallery and/or from the middle wall gallery down through utility crossover beneath the Main Chamber, and up to the river wall gallery to the tie in point. The utilities lines to be replaced include the raw water lines, city (Potable) water line, and sanitary line. Option Line Item consist of replacing a compressed air lines with stainless steel piping. Contractor shall submit product data for all materials and plans for performing the work for approval before purchasing materials or beginning physical work. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of all old piping and components removed as part of the demolition of the existing pipes. The contractor will also be responsible for draining or removing and disposing of any contents from the pipelines prior to removal. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, labor, and incidentals necessary to perform the following work listed below per the specifications herein. After installation, each new pipeline shall be tested in accordance with industry standards to ensure no leaks before the new pipelines are put into service. The installation will be fully function tested and inspected for leaks in the presence of the TPOC and maintenance representatives. All pipes and valves shall be fully supported with pipe hangers or clamps to prevent damage to new and existing lines. The FFE (finished floor elevation) of the galleries in the lock walls are at EL 391.0, Ceiling of the middle wall gallery is 9 ft. AFF (above finished floor) (EL 400.0), while the ceilings for the land and river walls are 8 ft. AFF (EL 399.0). The FFE of the Auxiliary Chamber crossover is at EL 331.0 with the ceiling 8 ft. AFF (EL 339.0). The FFE of the Main Chamber crossover is at EL 321.0 with the ceiling 7 ft. AFF (EL 328.0). Access to the crossovers is by fixed ladders from the galleries of the lock walls. Contractor shall submit plans for lifting and lowering materials down into the crossover. Contractor shall supply their own working platform(s) or scaffolding system in the vertical shafts. Please note, all measurements and distances provided are approximate and for reference only. It is the contractor's responsibility to field verify all pipe lengths, sizes, dimensions, quantities, and work conditions. It is incumbent upon the contractor to attend the pre-bid site visit to understand the site conditions and work out the details of the job. Equipment storage and staging of materials shall be coordinated with the Maintenance Leader, and/or Lock Master during the pre-construction meeting after award *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
