Renovation of a medical facility in Frisco, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Summit County Facilities Maintenance Department is soliciting proposals from qualified carpet and paint service providers. The best proposal will be selected for award based upon consideration of qualifications, relevant experience, schedule, and cost. Contract 2025-018 (Medical Office Building) Contract 2025-019 (Old Courthouse) The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to select the most responsible and responsive proposal. The selected contractor shall remove and replace with new, all carpeting, cove base, transitions, T-molding, and reducers associated with the carpet replacement project for the County Office Suites in the Medical Office Building. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and other incidentals necessary to provide new office carpeting as called out in RFP descriptions and supporting documents. A. Demo 1. Existing carpet to be removed and disposed of offsite by contractor. a. The contractor will be responsible for removing all furniture prior to carpet demo and returning to original locations after carpet installation. b. All floor prep to be included in proposal with a not to exceed number. c. All transitions to corridors from lobbies to existing hallways be seamed to the existing carpet square cut to door stop for new carpet to abut too. B. Material Selection 1. Carpet: Patcraft - Modular Level 2 - Easy on the Eyes I0227, color Bibbidy-Bobbidi-Blue 2. Cove Base: Roppe - Pinnacle 4-1/2" Rubber, color Black C. Areas/Measurements The contractor is expected to utilize the scalable floor plans, with area markups, provided with the RFP documents to complete a take-off for their proposal. The selected contractor will be responsible for confirming these measurements, quantities, any additional measurements, or suggested overage to complete the bid. a. Contractor to include 200Sqft of modular carpet squares for Owner's stock D. Add/Alternate Provide pricing for carpet replacement of the Ten Mile and Meadow Creek conference rooms, highlighted in orange of the M3.1 floor plans provided with RFP documents. 3. Carpet: Patcraft - Modular Level 2 - Easy on the Eyes I0227, color Bibbidy-Bobbidi-Blue 4. Cove Base: Roppe - Pinnacle 4-1/2" Rubber, color Black The Contractor shall prep and paint existing interior walls and painted door jambs of the County Office Suites of the Medical Office Building, as described in the sections below and shown in the attached documentation. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and other incidentals necessary to provide new interior paint finishes on all walls, and door jambs called out in RFP descriptions and supporting documents. A. Areas to be Painted Areas called out for new paint application will be reflected in floor plans provided and highlighted with this RFP document and discussed in the mandatory pre-bid meeting. The awarded Contractor for this project is responsible for confirming these measurements, any additional measurements, or suggested overage to complete bid d. The contractor will be responsible for removing all furniture prior to paint application and returning to original locations after painting. B. Surface Preparations/Acceptable Applications 1. Surface preparation walls: a. All areas to receive new paint applications will be made ready for new paint by patching minor holes in walls up to a half inch and sanding as necessary b. Prime any new areas c. Surface must be dry and sound condition. Remove dust, dirt, peeling paint and other contamination to ensure good adhesion d. Tape and caulk between trim and drywall e. Mask areas not to be painted 2. Acceptable applications: a. Roll 2 coats of new paint on all wall systems as indicated in supplied floor plans and discussed in mandatory pre-bid meeting. b. Paint shall be allowed to dry prior to second coat applications, per manufacturer's instructions. c. Surfaces to be clean and dry prior to paint application C. Material Selection/Colors 5. Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 interior, low VOC Egshell paint to be used on all interior wall systems being treated for this project.
