The project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, construction of approximately 23,000 feet of 8- inch water main, 8,500 feet of 12-inch water main, associated water services, and incidental restoration in the 8 th street area, including a bore and jack of railroad. Water services will be full replacements from the main to 18 inches inside the home and include new meter pits. These items of work contain other miscellaneous items necessary and as specified to make this project complete. Question Deadline 09/22/2025 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Each contract is a separate project for the city of Anderson's water main replacement program. Each project is a stand-alone project, and specifications may vary between all four projects Bid Date Notes : For special accommodations needed by individuals planning to attend the public bid opening meeting, please call or notify the board of public works office, executive administrative assistant, at (765) 648- 6002 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior thereto. Any bids received after the designated time will be returned to the bidder unopened. The outside of the sealed envelope in which the bid is enclosed, shall be clearly marked "bid - contract letter and name", and as otherwise set forth in the bidding documents. The city of anderson reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the city of anderson. The owner reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of not more than ninety (90) days after the date on which the bids are opened and, for such ninety (90) day period, all such bids shall be in full force and effect. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids but no bidder shall withdraw a bid within the ninety (90) days after the actual opening of the bids.
