Renovation of a military facility in Samoa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The contractor shall replace and resurface various flooring areas at US Coast Guard Station Humboldt Bay in Samoa, CA. The scope includes removing existing carpet and installing 1,150 square feet of commercial-grade, waterproof luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring on the second floor, refinishing hardwood floors on the third floor, resurfacing stair treads, and installing hardwood stair tread and riser overlays to match adjacent flooring. All labor, materials, equipment, services, and supervision are to be provided by the contractor. Work must be performed between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized. The contractor is responsible for daily cleanup and final restoration of all work areas. Waste materials must be disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. The government will furnish electricity, parking, and laydown areas, but not bathroom facilities. The project includes mobilization, site preparation, installation, finishing, disposal, and demobilization tasks. Completion will be monitored and accepted by designated Coast Guard technical points of contact. Location: USCG Station Humboldt Bay 200 New Navy Base Rd Samoa, CA 95564 As required by FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. 1. Mobilization a. Mobilize all necessary equipment and personnel to the work site. 2. Second Floor Carpet Replacement with Vinyl Flooring a. Site preparation b. Removal of existing carpet and subfloor c. Inspection and preparation of subfloor d. Installation of 1150 SQ ft of commercial grade hardwearing, waterproof Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), color to be chosen by end customer e. Finish work f. Clean up and final inspection 3. Third Floor Hardwood Floor Refinishing a. Site preparation b. Floor preparation, including sanding c. Sealing and finishing of hardwood floors d. Final cleaning and inspection 4. Stair Tread Resurfacing and Overlay Installation a. Resurface stair treads b. Install hardwood stair, tread, and riser overlays to match adjacent flooring 5. Disposal a. Dispose of all removed materials in accordance with industry standards and applicable environmental regulations 6. Demobilization a. Remove all equipment and personnel from the work site b. Return all areas to their original condition before project commencement *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
