Renovation of an educational facility in Buffalo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 18,925-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

All General Contractors planning to bid shall submit to the Architect a completed copy of their Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Form A305), Certificate of Insurance with contractor's current limits, proposed construction superintendent's resume, and list of completed projects of similar scope within the past 5 years including project cost, description of work, timeline, and Owner and Architect references 5 days prior to Bidding. Generally, the work includes a base bid project to renovate the existing Jr High. The work includes, but is not limited to, new flooring, new roof, new HVAC, new ceilings, new lighting, window replacement, and painting. The alternate bids scope include new HVAC, new lighting, painting, and miscellaneous changes of Gym and a new locker room addition. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval and be substantially completed by 08-13-2026 for the Base Bid. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to all applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including but not limited to the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act). All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education, Board of Education for Tri-City C.U.S.D. #1. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education, Board of Education for Tri-City C.U.S.D. #1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids.
