Renovation of a mixed-use development in Yaphank, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.

This Project is to be bid as a single prime project and a Project Labor Agreement is not in effect in accordance with the Supplementary Conditions. Air-Conditioning of Warehouse Space at Police Property Bureau - Contract No.3 HVAC Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid, made payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. This bid bond will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and properly secured. E-MAILED BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED UNRESPONSIVE. The bids shall be delivered in person, by the Bidder or his agent, at the time and place stated. NOTE: Notice to Bidders and Bid Results are posted on the Suffolk County Web Site at Online. Bid Results will not be given out over the telephone. You are requested to access the County website for this information. If you are not in attendance at the bid opening, please be patient while we process and post the results. Results will typically be posted within 24 hours after the bid opening. All contractors and subcontractors submitting bids or performing construction work on or after December 30, 2024, on public work projects or private projects covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law are required to register with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) under Labor Law Section 220-i. Registry site: Online. A copy of the contractor's Certificate of Registration shall accompany the bid submission. No contractor shall bid on a contract for public work unless such contractor is registered under Labor Law Section 220-i. No substitutions shall be made. Applications for registration shall not be accepted as a substitute for a certificate of registration. The certificate of registration must be dated on or before the bid date. Contractors must also ensure that their subcontractors are registered as required by Labor Law Section 220-i before commencing work on a project. THE FAILURE OF A CONTRACTOR TO BE REGISTERED BY THE BID DATE WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BID SUBMISSION. Please note that all construction projects over $250,000 advertised after July 17, 2008 will be subject to OSHA 10 safety training requirements pursuant to Section 220-h of the NYS Labor Law. Please note that all construction contracts involving construction, reconstruction, improvement, rehabilitation, installation, alteration, renovation, demolition of, or otherwise providing for any building, facility or physical structure of any kind with a value in excess of $250,000 will be subject to Apprenticeship Training Program requirements pursuant to Article 23, Section 816b of the NYS Labor Law and Suffolk County Resolution No. 1866-2014, specifically requiring graduate of apprentice(s) in the trade(s) called for within the construction contract within specified time period preceding the bid date of project. Awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder in conjunction with Section A4-14 of the Suffolk County Administrative Code establishing an optional ten percent (10%) local (Nassau/Suffolk) preference program for Suffolk County contracts. The Commissioner of Public Works reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Requests for Information shall be submitted in accordance with Section 117 of the Instructions to Bidders. The work consists of the following: The project is to air condition the warehouse space at the Police Property Bureau (C0753) located in Yaphank, New York. Three split systems totaling 70 tons of cooling will be installed. Question Deadline 09/25/2025 Every request for such interpretation shall be addressed in writing to the Commissioner of Public Works and must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date set for the opening of the bids. 1. Supply and installation of three air rotation unit and associated condensing units and installation of mini-split system that includes a condensing unit and three air handling units and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents
