Construction of a new 32-classroom primary school on a site at the corner of Troubadour and L'Intendant streets in Drummondville. The school would be a three-storey building with a capacity of 768 pupils. Area to be built: 7,568 m2. Non-exhaustively, here are some characteristics of the school: 32 classes of 75 m2; 1 multipurpose room of 105 m2; 1 dining area of 269 m2; 1 kitchenette of 45 m2; 1 double gymnasium of 432 m2; 1 motor room of 105 m2; 1 art room of 105 m2; 1 music room of 105 m2; 1 learning crossroads of 168 m2. TIMELINE: Architects to complete design and monitor construction have been awarded following request for proposals # 25-041-1SA. Reference number: 20093139. Engineers have been awarded following request for proposals # 25-041-1SI. Reference number: 20093142. 60% of design is to be delivered in June, 2026. Further update in spring, 2026. Budget: architecture amount: $34,193,000 including taxes; structural engineering amount: $12,728,204 including taxes; civil engineering amount: $10,960,571.00 including taxes.
