The Dewdney Area Improvement District (DAID) is seeking the services of a General Contractor for the retrofit of the 1949 pump station to house two (2) axial flow fish friendly propeller pumping units. The scope of work consists of the following: 1. Offloading, handling and installation of two (2) Owner-supplied axial flow propeller pumping units and associated equipment. 2. Cofferdam construction and site dewatering. 3. Demolition/removal of parts of the pump station structure and improvements to the structure to accommodate the pumps. 4. (If required) Offloading, handling and installation of two (2) Owner-supplied formed suction intakes to attach to the pumping units. 5. Supply and installation of two (2) 900 mm diameter steel/HDPE discharge pipes each approximately 80 m in length. 6. Decommissioning, partial removal, and concrete fill of one existing discharge pipe. 7. Construction of a concrete discharge structure including riprap slope armouring. 8.Supply and installation of one electrical controls kiosk including drives, controls, and associated components. 9. Refurbishment of the existing site service transformer. 10. Environmental protection and monitoring. 11. Associated civil works. 12. Testing and commissioning.
