UBC Energy and Water Services ("EWS UBC") is seeking proposals from qualified consulting engineering firms for a pre-feasibility study of relocating approximately 470m of existing sanitary sewer, and assess the potential for sewer heat recovery. The Consultant will evaluate the pre-feasibility of capturing heat from the sewer system in conjunction with the proposed sewer alignment. Trenchless installation has been identified as a potential construction method for the relocated piping. The project location is beyond the north end of the UBC Vancouver campus in the University Endowment Lands.
