This work consists of the replacement of approximately 165 existing private side lead service lines with new copper water services from the curb box to the new meter location inside the property including connection to existing house plumbing, associated restoration of lawn, sidewalk and drive approaches. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. Substantial Completion Date: May 1, 2026 Final Completion Date: June 30, 2026 The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest . QA date - 9-23-2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda, mailed, faxed, electronically or otherwise delivered to all parties, recorded by the City as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 5 business days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered.
