Renovation of a residential development in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for an Exterior Repair & Paint at our Keyel Dr IRA located at 108 Keyel Dr, Rochester, NY 14625 The purpose of asking questions during the site visit is to obtain clarification to the enclosed Project Scope. In the event that modifications are needed to the Project Scope, the modifications will be distributed by the FLDDSO Business Office to all contractors. Contractors are to prepare and submit their quotes based on the written Project Scope and any modifications made in writing. Contractor s will receive a response within 2 business days after the deadline for submitting questions. All questions and answers will be e-mailed to all contractors that attended the mandatory site visit. Contract term: Thirty (30) days after completion of project. DESCRIPTION: Repair, replace and paint the exterior of the house and shed. All brickwork will remain unpainted. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Stain/Paint will be a Sherwin Williams product and the colors will be the same as the existing. Repairs up to 100 sf cedar shake siding (10 x 10) are included in this contract. Work is to be completed within 90 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of this exterior repair and paint job, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the point of contact. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove and replace damaged siding 2. Resecure siding, rake trim and fascia that is loose / nails have pulled through 3. Resecure soffit unless rotted or broken, then replace 4. Wash prep for new paint 5. Caulk gaps and penetrations in the siding assembly with Formula 230 paintable caulking 6. Paint the entire exterior of the house and shed. Prime new or discolored areas for absorption and bleed through. Two coats of finish paint are recommended. Finish paint will be consistent and even with full coverage. Thin or discolored areas will be recoated.
