Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
This project proposes to demolish the commercial building, billboard sign and a portion of its foundation, and adjoining concrete pavement at 55 Copeland Avenue. SCOPE OF WORK This contract shall consist of: A. Asbestos abatement B. Disconnection and capping of sanitary sewer and water service lateral. C. Demolition, removal and disposal of structures, subsurface structures and concrete pavement. D. Backfill voids caused by demolition and removals to match adjoining grade. The Contractor is responsible for completing the following prior to any demolition activity: Obtain Demolition permit from the City of La Crosse Department of Planning and Development Building and Inspections. As part of obtaining said demolition permit, the Contractor is also responsible for cutting and capping sewer services to the building, including obtaining a plumbing permit. All permit fees will be waved. Submit to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) the Notification for Demolition and/or Renovation and Application for Permit Exemption.
