The work is to include the entire pit hatch cover and frame. Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. Apply a polyurethane caulk to the roof lap seams. Pit Piping: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard. Apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Foundation: Abrasive blast clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Mixer: Install a mechanical mixer. Cathodic Protection - Alternate: Install an impressed current cathodic protection system. Repairs: 1) Install riser manway. 2) Replace the wet interior roof hatch. 3) Overflow discharge modification. 4) Install a roof/sidewall platform. 5) Install a wet interior ladder. 6) Balcony access modification. 7) Install a roof handrail with a painter's railing. 8) Install bowl rigging couplings. 9) Install a riser grate. 10) Reweld the wet interior sidewall stiffener. 11) Install cathodic clips and pressure fitting. 12) Install grounding rods for the structure. The structure is a 100,000 gallon double ellipse elevated water storage tank with a low-water level of 100 ft. located at 10393 Old River Road in Roscoe, Illinois.
