As of January 22, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 29, 2026. This project includes various interior improvements at all four District school buildings, such as door and frame replacement, painting, acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) ceiling work, electrical work including fire alarm and egress lighting upgrades, and the extension of an existing sprinkler system. Proposals must be made on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. A certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Kinnikinnick CCSD No. 131 in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required with each submission. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. Compliance with the general prevailing wage for work as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor is mandatory, along with submission of certified payroll records and adherence to all applicable Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and to waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the owner.
