The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the existing monument information plaque, restore it, excavate the designated area, and construct a new concrete pad and monument base. Excavation must follow specifications in Attachment 2, with all excavated material set aside for finish grading. The concrete pad, measuring 20 ft by 20 ft as per Attachment 3, must be 6 inches thick, with 5 inches below ground level and 1 inch above. Prior to pouring, 3 inches of 304 aggregate shall be placed beneath the pad. The pad must include a 1 inch to 10 ft slope from side to side, as shown in Attachment 4. A 4x4 wire mesh shall be installed and tied across the entire pad area, excluding the monument location. The monument and base shall be constructed according to Attachment 6, with dimensions field-verified to match the Government Furnished Plaque. The existing bronze plaque shall be removed, cleaned of oxidation, corrosion, and paint, restored to a bright finish, repainted black where previously painted, and sealed with two coats of clear sealer.
