Reference Number 0000302272 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/10/01 03:00:00 PM EDT Several locations across campus have been identified where permanent mechanical thermal insulation has been damaged or removed. Replacing this insulation is necessary to reduce energy loss and enhance personnel safety. The scope of this project is as follows: a) Conduct site audits of mechanical rooms in coordination with a University representative to assess and confirm the insulation requiring replacement. b) Following the audit, submit a quotation to complete the insulation replacement based on the agreed-upon scope. c) Supply and install all insulation materials as agreed upon with the University, in accordance with University of Guelph Design and Construction Standards. d) Provide biweekly progress reports to the University detailing the mechanical rooms audited and the insulation work completed. e) Supply all necessary documentation to support applications for utility or government incentive programs related to the insulation work. f) Insulation specifications, including required shop drawings, can be found in Appendix D. The University will provide lists of mechanical rooms to be audited on an ongoing basis. While most of the insulation will be installed on steam systems, some work may also involve chilled water, hydronic heating or domestic water piping. The University will initially award a contract order of $75,000 to the successful Proponent, to which time and material may be charged for site audits and insulation installations.
