Bid proposals shall be submitted on standard forms, to be furnished by the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority (hereinafter called "OWNER") which, together with specifications, instructions to bidders and all other contract documents, have been prepared by the OWNER, and same may be inspected and/or obtained by prospective bidders at the office. All bid proposals must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check, drawn to the order ofthe Treasurer, Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority, for not less than ten percent (10%) of amount ofbid except that the check shall not exceed $20,000. Proposals are to include unit prices, ifapplicable, which shall be utilized in the resultant contract and may be utilized should contract amendment (s) be necessary. All bid proposals shall be accepted and acted upon in accordance and in compliance with the Local Contracts Law (NJSA 40A:l 1-1 et seq.) and instruction to bidders referred to herein above. the award ofthe contract for this work will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided for by the Owner in a lawfill manner. The Owner reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work ofthe nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications or before awarding the Contract. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest ofthe Owner. The right is also reserved to increase or to decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the specifications. This Contract shall remain in effect for the period from November 1,2025 through October 31, 2026. The Owner reserves the right to extend this Contract for up to two (2) twelve (12) month periods or one (1) twenty-four (24) month period upon mutual agreement in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-15.
