Renovation of a fire / police facility in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,400-square-foot fire / police facility.
Sealed bids must have outer envelope marked as "TOWN OF BRIDGEWATER POLICESTATION-ROOF REPLACEMENT". All questions and requests for clarification must be received inwriting via email to DPWBIDS@ Bridgewaterma.org by 4:00 PM on Thursday, September26th, 2025. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Town Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda by 12:00 PM, October 1, 2025, and emailed to all parties. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The work consists of but not limited to: Remove and strip rubber membrane and backerboard from roof. * Install face metal along the outside edges. o Install new backerboard and secure with manufacturer recommended screws and plates. o Adhere .60 mil EPDM rubber roof membrane to backer board. o All seams of the roofing system sealed according to manufacturer recommendations o Install flashing on edges and curbs o Clean-up and removal of all materials and scraps caused by the construction. o Roof warranty required. o The roof surface is approximately 9400 sq/ft. All inquiries in reference to technical issues shall be directed to DPWBIDS@BridgewaterMA.org. General bids must be accompanied by a certified check and a 100% payment Bond, subject to the conditions contained in the Instruction to Bidders. The amount of the bid deposit shall not be less than five (5) percent of the value of the total bid, payable to the Town of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. A bid may not be withdrawn by the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days,excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the day of the bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a Massachusetts licensed surety company satisfactory to the Town of Bridgewater. DCAMM Certification is required. NB-2 The Town of Bridgewater will evaluate all bids on the basis of the Total Base Project Cost bid price. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Division of Occupational Safety pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to27D inclusive, of Massachusetts General Laws.The Town of Bridgewater reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Bridgewater.
