Buchann County Public Schools is requesting bids for a new greenhouse to have 12' side height with 10' column/truss spacing with heavy duty 4" X 4" rectangular/square 8 gauge triple galvanized steel columns and over 100+ mph wind resistance and 15 psf snow load requirements. All primary structural members (posts, trusses, purlins) to be triple galvanized and fully enclosed (tubular). Heavy duty base plate anchoring system with concrete anchors to be included. Greenhouse to include automated shade system, heater and thermostat(s), and double doors that meet ADA requirements. Structural engineered (stamped) engineered drawings to meet all applicable codes to be provided. Concrete pad, drainage structures, and mechanical/electrical utilities by Owner. Greenhouse structure and installation of greenhouse to be provided by Contractor. Southern Gap High School is currently under construction with a completion date of Summer 2026. It is anticipated that the greenhouse will be completely installed by June 2026. There are no restrictions on work hours for the construction of the greenhouse. Power is available on site for use by the greenhouse contractor. A bid bond is required.
